But that’s not all. The platform also invites you to participate in the CircularCityChallenge challenge, a global competition that rewards the most creative and impactful circular solutions for cities. Whether you want to tackle waste, energy, mobility, or any other urban challenge, you can submit your idea and compete for prizes and recognition. The challenge is open to students of ages 14-18 and all backgrounds, as well as educators who want to inspire their students and colleagues.
To enter the challenge, you need to follow these steps:
- Go to the CircularCityChallenge platform
- Explore the platform and learn more about the circular economy and its applications.
- Identify a problem or opportunity in your city that could be solved or improved by applying circular principles.
- Develop your solution using the platform’s tools and guidance. You can work individually or in teams of up to three members.
- Submit your solution by August 31st, 2024. You will need to provide a short description, a video pitch, and a prototype or mock-up of your solution.
- Wait for the results. The winners will be announced in October 2024. They will receive cash prizes, a trip to Vienna for Award Ceremony, mentorship, exposure, and the opportunity to implement their solutions in real-life settings.
